A Beach Christmas

Hi Stampers
I got a cool card to show ya tonight. I made this one for the Tis The Season Stamping Challenge. It's an Inspiration Photo challenge this time.

Since I live in the Snow belt, this is not a Christmas Card I would ever of thought to make. I always think of snow and pine trees not sand and the ocean. I do love this card.

My card base is Bliss Blue and the mat is Creamy Caramel. I used black Stazon ink to stamp the images which came from 3 different sets.
The Star fish is from SU Fishy Friends, the ornaments and the sea shells are from Paper Trey Ink. I did a little masking and colored them with water color pencils. I got a little mark on the whisper White that didn't long there so I used SU's Gorgeous Grunge to cover it up. Looks like sand perfect!. The sentiment is from Hero Art.
Here's a shot of the inside and the envelope

that star fish just add a little touch of silly I think.

Just because

Hi stampers
Check out this cute card I made for The Sunday Stamps challenge. It's a color challenge this time. The Colors are Black, White, Rust, and Saffron.

I made an ink pad with a baby wipe and Really Rust and So Saffron reinkers. I inked a scrap of Whisper White card stock with the baby wipe, then die cut my feathers which are from W plus 9 designs. After die cutting them I stamped the feathers with the matching stamp set in Basic Black ink. The black die cut across the top is from Sizzix and the words Just Because are from The Angel Co. and stamped in Basic Black. I finished it off with a black and white twine bow.
Here is a shot of the inside and the envelope

I hope you like my card. Thanks for stopping by

Birthday Window Card

hi stampers
Today's card is for the Friday Mashup challenge.  Amy would like to see a see- thru- element mashed up with the colors Smoky Slate, Pacific Point, and Rich Razzleberry.

I decided to do a window birthday card for a man.
Here is my card.

One thing nice about window cards is there's not a lot a room left for a message. You can sign it and call it a day. I never know what to write.
I used the challenge colors and the Open seas stamp set all from Stampin' Up. I die cut my window and frame from a Sizzix die set and The Birthday Wishes banner and matching banner die is from W plus 9 designs.

Here is the inside and envelope

The word Celebrate is from The Angel Co.
I'm real happy with how it turned out. Thank you for stopping by.

Celebrate you

Hi Stampers
I've been gone for a while. Been dealing with Vertigo. Not fun, let me tell you. But I did manage to get a card made for the Friday Mashup. It's a big deal this time. They are celebrating 200 challenges and are offering lots of prizes. Be sure to check them out.

The challenge is to mash together two of their challenges. Wow it was hard to pick. I love pretty much all of the challenges. So what I did was make a card and then pick two of the challenges that best fit the card.
Here is the card I make

I also did the inside and an envelope to match

So I would say challenges # 71
Black and white mashed up with Bling
and # 142
Twine mashed up with birthday
But there is also dry embossing, heat embossing, and partial die cutting.

The supplies I used to make my card are
From Stampin' Up
Ink
Basic Black and Verse Mark
Embossing powders
White and Black
Card Stocks
Basic black and Whisper White
Stamp sets with matching dies
Celebrate Today , Crazy about you, and Making Spirits Bright
Embossing folders
Lucky Stars and Perfect Dots
Punch
Confetti Stars Border ( that's where I got the little stars on the inside of my card
I also used black and white sequins and a black and white twine.
I hope you like my card. It was so much fun using so many of my favorite things.
Thanks for stopping by and

Get Whale

Hi stampers
I got the cutest card to show you today. I made this one for the Sunday Stamps challenge. It's a color challenge this time

I thought with these colors I gotta use my little Whale from Stampin' up. Look how cute

The colors I used were Smokey Slate, Basic Grey, Bashful Blue and Very Vanilla. I can't seem to get enough of the new Bow builder punch (SU). I was thinking the swirl embossing on the background could be waves. I hope you like my card. Thank you for stopping by.

A little chick

Hi stampers
Oh what fun this weeks challenge is over at the Friday Mashup challenge. This week the challenge is to use a farm animal with some bling.

Love that goat. Here is the card I created

Don't ya just love this chicken stamp set from the Angel company. She is really holding a tiny little balloon but I wanted to put part of my sentiment on it, so I die cut a bigger one out of white and just sponged the color on so my words would stand out. I just added some sequins for my bling. I love how that balloon looks like it going to fly right off the card.
